Rip Hanks is Founder & President/CEO of
Centerpin Technology, Inc.
Rip Hanks is founder and President/CEO of Centerpin Technology, Inc. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1985 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Advertising. In 1987, Mr Hanks started Hanks & Tully Advertising and served as President/CEO. After selling his interest in Hanks & Tully, he joined Soundview Media as Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
In 1995, Mr Hanks started Centerpin Technology, Inc. with one U.S. patent. Since that time, he has been instrumental in growing the patent portfolio to 17 U.S. and numerous foreign patents. In addition to being an inventor, Mr Hanks manages the company's intellectual property, strategic partnerships and licensing. His business relationships include 3M, Air Force Special Operations and the White House Communications Department. In the consumer electronics industry, he has licensed numerous products that are currently being sold under the RCA, GE and Acoustic Research Brands.
Mr. Hanks is serving his forth term on the Consumers Electronics Association Accessories Board and the Small Business Council in which he is a member of the Expert Mentoring Program, advising in the areas of patents and licensing. Mr. Hanks was the presenter of a web cast forum sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association in 2003. The subject was intellectual properties and was entitled 'Little Guy in the World of Giants'. He has been featured in the 2005 Inventors Guidebook, Florida Trend, Vision, Dealerscope and NW Florida Business Climate Magazine. |

Leo J. Cyr
was born in Winston-Salem North Carolina on February 3, 1956. Mr. Cyr graduated in 1978 from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science; Engineering degree. Upon graduation, Mr. Cyr served in an elite Airborne Battalion Combat Team overseas and as a training manager at the Army Infantry School. Before leaving the Army as a Captain.
After leaving the Army, Mr. Cyr was employed by Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. until 1984.. From January 1984 until December 2005, Mr. Cyr held a number held a variety of telecommunications management positions with MCI International MCI Telecomunications, and MCI Worlcom. During this time he also served as the Chief Operating Officer of Caprock Communications (Nasdaq:CPRK) and Clearwire Technologies, Inc and as the Chief Executive Officer of UniSite, Inc and Network Telephone Corporation. From January 2006 until September 2006, Mr. Cyr provided consulting services to a number of companies including Ceryph Corporation, CenterPin Technology Corporation, Wall Perfect Corporation and Covad Communications Group (NASDAQ:DVW). Currently, Mr. Cyr is President of Marina Management Corporation, Pensacola, FL, a position held since October 2006. In this role, Mr. Cyr oversees the daily operations of 4 marinas, boat maintenance facilities and boat sales operations. In addition, Marina Management Corporation includes a full service restaurant located at one of the marinas. During his years of business experience, Mr. Cyr has served on the Board of Directors for CapRock Communications (NASDAQ:CPRK), the Board and Audit Committee of ITXC Corporation (NASDAQ:ITXC), the Board and Audit Committee of Teleglobe International (NASDAQ: TLGB), the Board of the Wireless Communications Association and the private company Boards of UniSite, Clearwire and Network Telephone Corporation. |
